Wood Fuel Classification Guidelines
The variability in the quality of wood fuels is perceived as a barrier to those that could potentially be users of wood fuels. The lack of any classification system for wood fuel in New Zealand creates concern over fuel quality and uncertainty in regards to the burning of wood at a regulatory level. It is proposed that quality issues are addressed through the publication of a set of classification guidelines for wood fuels.
The Wood Fuel Classification Guidelines will be subject to ongoing development. Feedback on these guidelines is welcomed. Please direct any comments to the Bioenergy Association of New Zealand info@bioenergy.org.nz
